Hamilton, MT 59840

The summer home of Copper Baron and millionaire Marcus Daly, his wife Margaret and their four children has evolved from a two-story farmhouse into a 24,000 square foot mansion with 25 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley. The estate sits on 27 acres of beautifully landscaped lawns and garden among the Margaret Daly Memorial Arboretum. The Arboretum boasts over 27 species of trees. Family and frequent guests called the home Riverside. At one time, there was a small town named Riverside located a couple of miles northwest of the property near the river. With the founding of Hamilton in the 1890's most of the businesses of Riverside moved to Hamilton and the town disappeared. Today, the mansion still entertains guests from around the country. Whether through its tours, weddings or just relaxing on the covered deck while playing checkers- Riverside remains an amazing, historic get-away for all ages.
